Did you ever eat egg soldiers growing up?

Dipping toast into a runny egg was the epitome of comfort food.

The issue is we tended to use white processed bread which sort of took away the amazing health beenfits of eggs away.

This recipe inspired by the keto diet is a high fat high protein breakfast or snack.

Eggs are a massive source of choline and and cholesterol which is healthy and vital for the human body. Eggs are a complete protein containig 9 essential amino acids and betaine for heart health.

Make sure the eggs are free range ideally organic, the best bet is to buy from farmers markets or direct from farms.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 pastured eggs
  • 1 Halloumi block 
  • Salt

METHOD

  1. Boil Water
  2. Cut halloumi into strips 
  3. Grill halloumi on skillet or oven grill
  4. Boil eggs to soft or medium soft 
  5. Pinch of salt in egg yolk 
  6. Enjoy
